Only a few days have gone by since Fast Web Formula 3, and already I have made some big changes – in my business and in my mind!
Let me start by saying this: I have been to the last four of James events and there is no doubt that Fast Web Formula 3 has had the biggest impact so far. As a result of attending the seminar I am changing a lot of things about my business, which will result in much more secure growth and profit in the future.
As you know, Fast Web Formula 3 went over three days, and I can’t write a summary of the whole event. Instead I have decided to share the notes I took on my favourite speakers with you. Because my business revolves around consulting and SEO services, you will find that my notes and my favourite speakers are geared towards consulting.
James Schramko
James talked on several things during the event. They can be summarised as building a business, selling and creating leverage.
Building a business
- Build a customer- centric business and aim to have life-time customers
- Look after the customer, the customer looks after the business, the business looks after you.
- Most valuable business skills: marketing and innovation
- Use dashboards for productivity
- Create high-end packages and bundle value
- Tailoring your message to customer segments allows you to build better relationships and provide more value (you will also be able to charge more if you specialise!)
Selling
- A sale is the process of change from one situation to a BETTER alternative situation.
- The best problem solver earns the most money
- The best sales are undetectable
- Create a ‘blackbox’, a unique aspect in your business that is unknown to customers, prospects and competitors. This creates an unassailable position, adds value and allows you to increase your price. Could be intellectual property, your process, etc
Creating leverage
- Identify impact areas of your business
- Scale – if something in your business works (is profitable), do more of it!
- To scale: Can you re-target your core business at other markets? The same core engine drives the delivery, but the marketing targets a different target market.
Suraj Sodha
- Networking works!
- Networking secrets: never know who they know; asking for specific introductions; be yourself; serve others, give value!
- People love to buy but they hate being sold to
- Use group buying sites and events for lead generation (instead of looking at them as discount customers!)
Mike Rhodes
- Impact of reviews is increasing! Whether Google AdWords, places or organic search results. Potentially there will be a roll out of review extensions for AdWords soon (you have to have 30+ reviews for them to show on your Google Ad).
- Re-marketing functionality allows you to build a virtual list, by showing your Ads to specific customers who have already visited your site with a targeted message.
- Combine FB Ads and Google AdWords to create even more targeted remarketing campaigns
- Google Ads for mobile are getting insane conversions and have a cheap CPC
If you didn’t make it to fast Web Formula 3 and you’re committed to growing your business, I highly recommend you purchase the recordings. For this event only online recordings are avialable, no physical DVD products. As for the event tickets, if you decide to purchase the FWF3 recordings I offer you a Fast Web Formula 3 recordings bonus when you buy through my link.
The second part of the FWF3 review covers Alexi Neocleous, Kyle Tully and Ed O’Keefe!
