Alexi Neocleous

  • How to improve your conversation: tell a story, solve problems, be unique, build a tribe
  • Buyers are more important than prospects! (Think about this when you decide where to focus and how to build your list!)
  • Problems are markets. Ask these questions: What makes your ideal customer angry? What frustrates them? What is their biggest fear? What hidden fear do they have? What keeps them awake at night?
  • Use dramatic demonstration as proof. When you claim something always prove it!
  • To be unqiue have better proof
  • Use first, only or most in your marketing message (best if you can use two or all of them. If you can use all, you’re on to a winner!)
  • Communicate to the reptilian (survival) brain, which is emotional and doesn’t change. Appeal to the following emotions: greed, fear, anger, envy, vanity, guilt, exclusivity, flattery, salvation. lust, pride, laziness.
  • Research your market though niche publications, forums, and surveys

Kyle Tully

  • Regularly review your profit targets (90 days) and compare to last 30 days. What’s the gap? How can you bridge this gap realistically?
  • Be clear on your WHY? – What’s your point? What’s your exit strategy?
  • Be clear on your USP and your niche (see summary part 1 for notes on charging more if you specialise).
  • Position against negative perceptions in your market and give a guarantee
  • qualify incoming leads (survey, email response, preliminary qualifying call, budget)

Ed O’Keefe

  • Play a bigger game – wherever you are now, you can do more!
  • Create a culture where clients pay, stay and refer.
  • Ask yourself: What are the unique gifts and skills that you have that would make the biggest different in you (financial) life?
  • You are the master of your fate, You are the captain of your soul. (adapted from the poem Invictus by William Ernest Henley)
